Whenever a difficulty is encountered again & again, one is motivated to seek a solution. And if this difficulty is faced by many, more is the motivation.
For example, if a popular place is wrongly located, one would quickly submit Google Map correction to help others who may be looking for the place. Of course, such correction becomes more interesting if it helps more people.
A similar situation was encountered by me after I moved some time ago to reside in my current Home at 8642 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON, L4C 6Z4.
Because of its wrong location on Google Maps, it was confusing to all users of Google Maps. This confusion seriously affected so many people. Not only, all the people - 35 residents of this Seniors’ Home were directly affected, but many more who were delivery people, visitors & other GPS users.
The problem became more & more serious as GPS and Google Maps use became universal and addictive in daily life. Rampantly, home deliveries, directions-seekers, uber rides pickups were seriously impacted.
Pickups by UBER or LYFTS became seriously problematic for co-residents. Since I feared Google Maps may not respond to an ordinary man in the street like me, UBER was urged to get the correction
Home deliveries were much more problematic. The residents did not get deliveries at home. But they had to make a trip to the warehouses of the delivery companies.
UBER was, therefore, requested to take up the task of location correction by GOOGLE But UBER refused and insisted that I should do it!
And I took up the task with reservation about its success. Because I had fears that will a mighty organization like GOOGLE respond to a small individual like me. Then, I had no idea that this will turn out to be the most interesting thing by me & never occurred to me this can be thought to be done as Local Guide!
A big surprise it was when the following email was received:

Well, this correction in GOOGLE MAPS proved a great help for ALL users thereof – all residents of 8642 Yonge St, Richmond Hill like also large numbers of people at large.
All’s well that ends well!
