The most interesting thing I have done as a local guide Feat.Bloukrans Bridge

I love to travel, I never forget to travel on my own “door step” too. Pictured above is the Bloukrans Bridge in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

I live in Johannesburg which is approximately 1234,8 km or just over a 12 hour drive to the Bloukrans Bridge.

In March 2019 I embarked on the longest road trip I have ever made, from Johannesburg to South Africa’s popular travel destination “The Garden Route”. This has got to be the prettiest drive along the Western and Eastern Cape of South Africa. There is so much to do along the way, you need to research all your options and make difficult choices unless you have an endless amount of time and money! You can make the most of this trip in Two weeks!

One of the highlights of my trip was a chance to bungee jump off of the world’s highest commercial bungee bridge jump! Yip you read right… HIGHEST in the world! Pretty cool right?! But as per the image, not before coffee…

Total Length: 451 meters

Height: 216 meters

Longest Span: 272 meters

The Bloukrans Bridge is an arch bridge located near Nature’s Valley, Western Cape, South Africa. Constructed by Concor between February 1980 and June 1983, the bridge stands at a height of 216m above the Bloukrans River. Its primary use is that of a road bridge, carrying national route N2.

The Bloukrans River below forms the border between the Eastern Cape and Western Cape provinces and is located in the Tsitsikamma region of the Garden Route.

I Love being a local guide, I love sharing what I have learnt with others and more importantly learning from others!

This was by far the most interesting adventure I have had as a local guide. I made sure to rate and review companies and experiences along the way to help others who are wondering if this adventure would be up their ally!

Need a holiday where you can do it all? Relax, ocean, safari, adventure and plenty of extreme sports? I hope you consider The Garden Route in South Africa! Let them know I sent you :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Andi_t , since there’s still time for the application, I really suggest you to read carefully at this Guideline again of how to make a good application post, which the post should be under “Local Stories” topic. Wish you luck!
