The most interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide and what the Local Guide program means to me

This program will enlighten my career as a Google local guide and give me more opportunities to fully succeed as a Google local guide.

I will also learn how to properly market myself as a Local guide to help more businesses get listed.

I am willing to listen, learn, take notes, ask questions and fully participate in this program.

Kindly help transform me into a Google tool to impact my world.

This is an opportunity I cannot forget in a live time.

Thanks a lot.

Reagan Bruce

Hi @rabdeel

Please remove your phone number from your post.

If you aspire to make a business out of helping local businesses on Google Maps that is fine, but please don’t mix this with your efforts as a local guide. Mixing those two interests is a sure way to get suspended from the program.

All the best

Hi @rabdeel

Please use the tagging-tool when responding.

Your naming on Google Maps looks fine now. Thanks.

You first picture is repeated. Please delete one of them. We are not allowed to upload duplicates.

Cheers

Hi @MortenCopenhagen

Please Help explain " first picture is repeated"

Do you mean the content?

Thank you.

Hi @rabdeel

Go take a look at your contributions, then photos on Google Maps. Here you will see your two pictures from Freedom Hotel. I was wrong. They are not identical. But still you need to delete one of them since they are very much near similar. Map users don’t get value from posting photos that are so similar.

Feel free to ask again if you need more guidance. Or want more feedback on your photos.

Cheers

@MortenCopenhagen Thanks a lot I wish you can be given me more guidance in all my future projects. I have deleted some of those similar pictures please check again.

Hi @rabdeel ,

I’m happy to help you.

You have still not deleted on of your very latest two photos at Freedom Hotel. Just changing the angle a bit is not enough to make the two images not similar.

This one https://goo.gl/maps/WgMALxqPTu5BV2kd8 and this one https://goo.gl/maps/dbwLUvzY2rKGf8kN7

Also, you need to remove pictures showing people’s faces so they can be recognized. This one is such an example: https://goo.gl/maps/dEF2Yv3ZNaGERCda6 This picture is also problematic because it is too small and it has text on it.

This one https://goo.gl/maps/3HLz61P8Diobkmpp9 also looks like it could be copied from somewhere else. Did you take that photo yourself? If not you must delete it.

I think showing so many pictures of individual furniture in Kumfranky Company Ltd. is overdoing it. If you work there you should definitely delete them all, since it is not ok to mix work interests with your volunteer work as a local guide.

This one here https://goo.gl/maps/9ahrzpJgLJqD5hux8 looks like something copied from a website. That is also not OK.

You may want to study this post carefully and follow the links in it to get a better understanding of the photo rules.

Sorry for sounding so harsh. I did not intend to, but there is really room for improvement in your photography skills related to Google Maps. Don’t be discouraged - shoot more great photos. It a learning curve for all of us.

Cheers

@MortenCopenhagen Some are pictures posted by customers and I don’t have the user privilege to delete them. can I report them us privacy concern?

Hi @rabdeel

Nope, I’m referring only to the pictures uploaded from your profile. Those you can and should delete. As long as you are logged in using that Google account.

Clearly you are acting both as a business owner and a local guide. I think you need to separate those or even stick to only one of them.

The reason behind we can’t mix those interests is to preserve the integrity of local guides reputation.

Cheers

@MortenCopenhagen Am deleting some of them. I don’t work at Kumfranky but at times I do go there to take pictures for his website. will it be ok publish some of those?

@MortenCopenhagen Now I get you perfectly clear. I went and deleted those pictures as you pointed. With your help I will stick to been a local guide alone. Thanks a lot.

I’m happy to hear that, @rabdeel

Best of luck.

Morten

@MortenCopenhagen I hope the mixing of the two to this level will not negatively affect my chances of participating at connect live 2020. Pray for me…! and thank you very much for your help.

@rabdeel

Best advice would be not to mix interests. You should not review a place that you sometimes help out at. I would remove my pics and review/stars from such a place on Google Maps.

You could give your pictures to the owner and he could then upload them if you allow him to. But it is complicated. Best to stay out of it.
