I start to participate in Google maps local guide after the offer from Google while I locate the first missed place I checked to find in my travel and lost from Google maps.
In my country, there are plenty of tourist attraction places. However, due to poor infrastructure most of places are not located using street names. Hence, finding unknown places is very difficult. If you are a foreigner, it will be tougher to locate specific places using their street name or address.
That is why I start to locate missed places in Google maps as it is much helpful in our country context. As a local guide, I like to travel to many tourist attraction and historic places. Hence, using my travel experience to locate unknown places in Google maps is the most interesting think I got pleasure from helping others.
