Hello Local Guides
I am Mahabub Hasan from Bangladesh, Local guides Program is a platform where I implement my all dream and wish. using this platform try to develop my country maps and make it spam-free also share my experience in the Connect forum. there share a few topics that I did before as a Local Guide.
Knowledge share & Meetup: I belive Knowledge share and Discussion is a very important thing to develop something better . and different types of people’s ideas together make some projects more successful. Also impossible to visit all over my county and contribute to google maps. I think it’s batter to arrange meetup there invite the same attitude people and share knowledge. because local people can contribute more details information on Google maps.
Last 3 year I attend the Local Guides annual program held in the San Francisco bay area. after back this program arrange with my other local guides’ Experience share meetup. this meetup I share what I learn from there and other activities.
Create a Tutorial in the native language
People love to read and learn in there native language so I try to write some tutorials for my country people. Before I create a tutorial ask them which one more priority in that time and based on their suggestion create and share. There add some link made by me

- Google Maps Latest user interface details A to Z information
- What is KML file and how it’s work
Add / Edit road and places:
Local guides Program most important and my favorite things add or edit wrong information, every day before I visit somewhere to check it in google maps. I think as like me thousands of people do that maybe my little contribution helps them to find their destination within a few seconds.
After back from Connect live’19 in Ethiopia add more than 9**,500km Road**. really feel happy give me the opportunity to help another country to add roads and million people can see the road in their google maps and go there destination.
Report about spamming and national problems :
When I saw misinformation try to edit that. if it’s not accepted then I post in connect for Google Moderator attention and quick solve that. few examples are there
- Request to change National Stadium name
- Change reported college name and location
- Delete a spammer fake location
Also when I attend connect live bring with me a printed book about my country problem. personally I collect information also collect from other local guides in meetups
Expose culture and locality:
Connect Live’19 3 mission & Goal I try to cover all of that so explore with other local guides urban city & Historical places. Add there missing information also share my experience in the connect forum.

. Puja Photowalk with Narayanganj city local guides in the last Durga puja. I try to collect all religious and cultural fest cover under local guides banner and share in connect for other country people know about our festivals
Help for society: Local Guides Community inspires and gives the opportunity to work for society. we arrange some program with street child and Physical Disabilities
Culture Exchange: My life best opportunity I grab from this program culture exchange and learn other cultures from arranging/ meet with other country local guides. learn a lot there daily life, history, and cultural activities.
Last year I visit Dubai and local guides Muhannad [ Connect live’17 attendee ] help me to visit Dubai city, taste Arabian food and many more it’s impossible any other platform or social activity.
