When I first time used the Local Guide Review in 06/2019, I found that I cannot follow anyone on Google Maps.
I want to follow some special local guide, such as a barista in Taipei.
A professional barista must know a lot of good cafes in Taiwan, and I can find a good working cafe.
The reason why I would like to have this function is because of my fondness of Instagram.
When I know where to have a cup of tea or to travel on Instagram, I would follow check-in locations.
On Google Maps, though I could create a special list, it was only known by me, I could not share it with friends.
Thus, I tried to send Google a suggestion, hoping Google Local Guide would update the function of “follow”.
It was not expected that I would get a surprise from Google Local Guide very soon.
After half a year, the following function was soon updated in 11/2019.
I regard it as a better update because it makes every local guide has the chance to connect with others.
It also helps the local guide create more rich information by seeing the followers growth,
Thanks, Local Guide Team!
How interesting my suggestion one day will soon be accepted!
