As a proud Local Guide and Google Trusted Photographer, I’m assisting people from all around the world to visualise the places before they arrive so that, they can get the proper information about the surrounding areas and get the most out of it. Uploading 360 degrees photos is being superb useful for tourists and other Google Map users while business have huge benefits from it aswell. As 360 degree photos are the virtual reality of places where viewers can look up,down, right, left, anywhere they want and even they can walkthrough. Its similar to standing at that place and taking a walk. That’s why from my point of view, this is the most fascinating thing I’ve profound as a Local Guide.
The following are some of the uploads which I think is very impactful for lot people:
Manakamana Temple :I visited this place to make a small wish for someone as it is believe that this place have a spiritual energy to fulfill the wishes of the people who had made it from their heart. The actual meaning of MANA is HEART and KAMANA is WISH so, its called manakamana temple(a temple of Goddess).
I thought taking 360 degree photos will be magnificently helpful for lots of pilgrims who are planning to visit from different countries, here for worshiping. I uploaded two photo, one from the front so that, they can get ideas about how crowded this place can be and second from the behind so that, they can see the special area which is partitioned for staying in line. It’s been viewed over 6600 times and I’m sure this number will incline annually as the number of devotees and viewers are unlimited.

Pimbahal Pukhu : This place is the place where I usually visit with my friends to hangout from my childhood and one of the tourist attractions where they come to see and enjoy the art and architecture of this old place which was formed centuries ago.
Once due to massive devastating earthquake in 25th of April 2015, this place totally turn down. The walls of the pond were collapsed, water was polluted, temples fell down, and slowly the water started vanishing through crack because of which fishes died. It was huge loss for lot of people as such a beautiful place was destroyed.
However, place was able to rise up again. Local citizen and government made it possible with there love and dedication for this place and it became even more beautiful after the reconstruction. Alot of improvement and changes have been made to this place.
So after looking at the devotion of people for the renovation and reconstruction due which our historical place is alive again and put smile?to it, I thought it will be a great contribution from my side to upload this to Google so that people will remember and realise the effort and love they had put into it and whole world can see the changes.

KUSOM(Kathmandu University Of Management) : The reason behind uploading this to Google was that, Kathmandu University is the top 1 rank university of Nepal where yearly thousands of students try for admission to study and make their career. For the admission, graduates have to visit here for the procedure of their forms and for giving exam. As people from all over the districts of Nepal visit here, it’s a favourable thing to upload 360 sphere photos so that, they can visualise their dream to study here soon.

Aadinath Lokeshwor Temple : I visit here every year for a month for hiking, festivals and worshiping. There is something special about this place that I can’t put into words. This temple represents the strong bonding of Hinduism?Buddhism which very rare to be found in many countries. When people visit here they can actually feel the energy and peacefulness. This temple have it’s long history and the story behind it very interesting and unbelievable. It was establish during 15th century and it is known as one of the principle of BODHISATTVA and it is also considered as one of the machendranath (god of rain and rice).
Newly married couples visit here to pray for their successful marriage life by nailing metal plates, cups and other utensils in the wall of the temple because of which tourist called it as a POTS and PANS temple. Every year a mela(festival) is held where thousands of people and tourists visit here by hiking(especially in the morning).
I have a niece who cannot walk deu to some of the disability so, I clicked some photos, videos along with 360 degree to show her and it’s good way to view it for lot of people who cannot hike.

World Peace Pagoda : This is the most recent upload that I made in Google Map and it truly deserves to be there as it represents peace through out the world. The vibe of this place is gently great and peaceful. I really enjoyed looking at its art and architecture. The monument of Lord Buddha was significantly awesome. From here I was really amazed by the breathtaking view, where you can see phewa lake, sarangkot( place for paragliding), mountains, hills and city area.
This pagoda was made for world peace and prosperity by Japanese Buddhist but alot of people ignore it or put it into their last destination or not at all because they feel very less important. So, that was my reason to post it on Google Map so that people can realise its importance and main gist and let people know how popular it is.

I was amazed to see them that I became so eager to click a photo of them( A photo of grandson and grandma visiting the Pagoda).

Inserting 360 degree virtual view photos is effective and impressive alternative to show the environment of a particular place. I’m thankful to Google Map for providing this spectacular platform for Local Guides like us, to express their view infront of the world and making us honoured that we are being able to serve help to the world. I’m glad that I’m worthy to assist people around the globe by posting my 360 degree photo to show the people how the place looks as humanly as possible, also by reviewing, adding photos, videos, roads, places, questions/answer, rating, etc, to Google Map.
Overall, uploading 360 degree photos of places is one of the impactful task to perform in Google and I’ll try to make virtual tour(where people can walkthrough using photos to different spot) in future, until then-it’s the most interesting thing I’ve done as Local Guide and I hope to see you on California’s Bay Area and wish to provide important feedbacks, learn from you guys and meet people from different countries.
