The area is a private private area, which consists of 3 villages in 1 town and 3 villages in Çaykara district of Trabzon province. Uzungöl, which is 99 km from Trabzon and 19 km from Çaykara district, is 1090 m above sea level, leaves behind the beauty of the Alps with its steep slopes and magnificent forest cover. The lake, which was formed by the rocks falling from the slopes in the middle of the valley, closed the front of Haldizen Creek, is known as “Uzungöl” and the environment is given the same name. The old wooden houses of the village of “Şerah” near them, which were built in a local style, complement the beauty of nature.
Attracting great interest from local and foreign tourists, Uzungöl is very rich in its tourist potential. In the surrounding area, there is the opportunity to organize trips to lakes between higher mountains or other highlands such as Şekersu, Demirkapı, Yaylaönü, as well as trekking, bird watching, botanical tours. In terms of wildlife, in the mountains around Uzungöl, various animal species such as bear, wolf, wild goat, fox, Caucasian mountain cock are harbored.
In the valley of Haldizen Creek, the lake, which is formed as a result of landslide closing of the river bed in the form of natural dam, exhibits an attractive landscape with its spruce forests around it. The settlement of Uzungöl, located on the lake shore, has the municipality organization and the infrastructure works are ongoing. Transportation from Trabzon is provided by 76 km of stabilized road from Çaykara to Çaykara, asphalt and then 19 km of stabilized road.
