The Most Beautiful Blue Sky North of Mexico.

I want to show in this post the incredible places that you have visited and that do not have too many views by GOOGLE users. For academic reasons, I changed my residence in the center of the country, in the capital and whenever I can I make a getaway to my home state in the north to discover the mystery of the years that they keep and all the beauty of their colors and the beauty of the blue sky. All these places are a few miles in the car if we start from the capital of Durango.

  1. Natural Park Mexiquillo.
A charming place with unique landscapes, There is a rock garden that was formed in prehistory and offers a visual spectacle. The river channels pass through magnificent waterfalls that grow even more in the storms,
There are cabins and a spectacular natural lake. This place has everything in the middle of the forest.
    Excellent for ecotourism.

  1. Magical town of Mapimí.
A place of mining bonanza at the end of the XVIII century nailed in the middle of an impressive desert that belonged millions of years ago to the sea of Tetis. In addition to the ruins of the mine and the old town, you can find fossil remains and only a few miles: the Del Rosario grottos, wonderful cavernous formations and a stalactite show.
Do not forget to bring enough water, the temperatures here are so high.

  1. Magic Town of Sombrerete Zacatecas.
Another town that joins the list of mining towns, Sombrerete is a charming place with unique stone and quarry architecture. A picturesque place, preserved and a beautiful sky.
A few miles away is the Natural Park Sierra de Organs, where people usually camp and hike through the rock formations that offer a lovely show at sunset.

  1. Magic Town of Nombre de Dios Durango.
The place stands out for its gastronomy, mezcal as a regional drink and for its beautiful landscapes, rivers and springs. Nombre de Dios is based on tradition and the first Catholic missions during the period of the conquest, a key place in the conformation of the current story.

  1. Hacienda de la Ferrería de las Flores.
It forms part of the tourist route of Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, it is a well-preserved architectural reference of the haciendas that belonged to the feudal era in Mexico.
A place full of history and charm. Governments have made a great effort to preserve the heritage of the property. Now it is a museum and offers unparalleled postcards.
Nearby is the foundry park, an old metal mill that supported the economy of the hacienda. The place in ruins has been embellished with beautiful gardens.

  1. The region of the mountains.
A vast territory of fractured roads and mountains, forests that are covered with snow during the winter and charming wooden houses where the locals live. A virgin and totally natural landscape that contrasts with valleys full of flowers.
