The meaning of Local Guides to me

I’m an enthusiast level 5, working my way to level 6  , Local Guide.

To be a Local Guide is to be a part of worldwide community. I love contributing with my local knowledge so others can enjoy amazing places and experiences. It’s also amazing to think that nowadays you can go to anywhere on Earth and have super detailed information about a variety of places. As someone who loves to travel and discover hidden secrets, I’m truly thankful for all the information other local guides provided me.

There is the type of culture the world needs more and more, to have global citizens that take the effort to provide information about a particular topic so the community can use that information and we can all be better of. Thus, Local Guides is the proof that human beings can be altruist and do things just for the sake of the common good. To all the Local Guides reading this post, thank you much for all the help you gave me, without knowing, along all these years !

This is what the Local Guides programs means to me, an inspiration for people to collaborate across the globe towards a common good :grinning:

Let’s keep growing this amazing community and keep helping people from all the world !
