The meaning of being a local guide - part of a life goal

Some years ago, I´d say as a random chance, I started to work in my hometown airport (Aeropuerto Internacional de Carrasco,Montevideo,Uruguay). This event happened to be the very first step of heading towards tourism. After that job, I got another one in a hostel in Montevideo, and then was the time (I think) when I started to review and qualify places, experiences and services. I needed to know those things in order to recommend them and advise about them to my clients, to be trusted and hopefully, make them come back. Time went by and I became passionate about checking out places and review them, thus, helping people from other places to know what to do or where to go. Nowadays one of my main goals is to become a guide, not necessarily in my hometown, but in any place and make people feel as fascinated as I feel, every time I arrive in a new place!

It seems that you’ve shared a post for your Connect Live 2020 application. Keep in mind, one of the requirements is to share your post on Local Stories, so I’ve moved your post there, thanks.

Feel free to have a look at the application guidelines and find some handy tips for creating an application post.
