Uganda is a country on the Equator that offers an experience like no other: from the rainforests and most the remaining world’s wild Golliras to Snow over the equator, the source of the world’s longest river and a gem in the wild (Kidepo) national park.
I share a story about my home country because I am most passionate about exploring every corner of this lovely county, and I would love to correct the narrative about the “pearl of Africa”.
When I travel outside Uganda, I find that many people still associate my country with the dark past of some of the previous leadership, yes we still don’t have refined leaders, but Uganda offers an experience that will rarely be forgotten.
From the Capital Kampala, many of the country’s gems are accessible within 3-hour rides. One can travel in any direction and they will find something that suits them. Be it their interests are in white water rafting, forest camping, mountain climbing … name it.
