The magic harbor of Caesarea

Do you know that more 50000 people were living around the old harbor of Caesarea with no drink water. Its the reason why we can see there a very long aquebuc still in very good conditions, near the sea. The water was coming from the carmel moutains, more than 5 kms ago. Incredible !!! The harbor is also a very interesting place with so great history with arabs, jewish and christian people. Do you remember for example that several hundred pilgrims were arriving there from europe in this harbor to conquest Jerusalem ? Today, its possible to visit the old harbor and also to eat in restaurant, or to do shopping. Don’t miss the museum ! Great place to visit in Israel.
