The magic garden eels of Behau Forest in Timor-Leste

There is a hidden beach on the North Coast of Timor-Leste. You will not know that it exists when you drive by because there is a small forest between the road and the beach. A small road links the road to the beach where there are trees for shade and a rocky beach to explore while you spend the day or just a few hours for a picnic. What makes this beach so special is that it is a fantastic site to snorkel and dive. The marine life is so diverse that you will be amazed every minute that you explore. If you click on the map below you will get more information on the site and a link to a collection of images taken on different trips snorkeling and diving at the site. You can also just click on this link to see the photos. But what makes this site so special is the patch of garden eels who live there. Some pictures of the eels below. This patch of garden eels was always fun to watch. If you stayed still on the bottom and tried not to breathe too frequently, [I did not say “hold your breath”…breaking a cardinal rule in SCUBA diving  ] the eels would come out of their holes to look around, feed and interact with each other in a wavy dance. Enjoy the dive !!

Thank you for sharing your photos @Nick-Hobgood

This is the first time that I see something like that, so I am really enjoying every word, and every picture.

Great post, I like it.

P.s. your post is quite difficult to read on mobile, probably due to some Html code that makes the page not resizable. Are you using an external editor for writing your post?

Hi @ErmesT I am glad you enjoyed the post. The underwater world is amazing, I recommend visiting. As for the post , I used the LGC editor in the forum with Chrome for PC on a Mac computer. I noticed the issue with it being cut off for my Android Galaxy S8+. It is rather annoying. Should I lodge a help ticket on the issue ? Thanks - Nick

Of course you can, @Nick-Hobgood

Let me escalate the issue.

You didn’t wrote all the posts in “bold”, am I correct?

@ErmesT yes I use bold because I can barely see this new small gray font. I am an old guy… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
