This is a magical place nestled deep in the woods of hilly Lonavla (India) with a narrow bumpy entry just enough to squeeze one car through at a time;) And we were rather lucky to get a booking at the Heritage in The Machan with some early bird thoughts.
Built on a sprawling hilly area, each machan is unique and has an exclusive view of the valley and the ranges in the background. We even saw one machan with a sliding sky roof, but nothing quite beats the Heritage;)
Aesthetically designed and attention to detail not just the rooms but the bathing areas too, complete with bathtub and shower in an area filled with plenty of natural light.
There are exclusive wood areas for breakfast and dining, both having varied choices for the taste buds and a nature trail walk and yoga sessions for added exclusivity.

Thanks @Petra_M it was quite amazing to see the whole structure supported on strong stilts on a forest hill, and not just one. One from our old school group had briefly visited the place, so the idea of staying there got seeded;) For everything else, there’s always Google Maps!
