Do you know where the longest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia is?
It’s in Indonesia, located in an area in Sukabumi, West Java named Situ Gunung. The bridge attracts many tourists on the weekends and holidays. If you’re in Jakarta, you may join an open trip to the suspension bridge which is more convenient since you don’t have to transit. The open trip costs around IDR 100-200K per person. It includes entrance ticket to enjoy all the attractions in Situ Gunung (suspend bridge, waterfall, and lake).
Walking on a suspension bridge is not recommended if you are afraid of heights (acrophobia). This suspension bridge is really long and shaky, and not to mention it’s also crowded. I was struggling to get rid of my fear and walk casually until the other side. Visitors stop frequently to take pictures or selfies, while some others making vlog about their trip there (just like me). After all, this experience is really awesome and thrilling. Besides, the mountain view from the bridge is also beautiful and relaxing.
Update: I also wrote a blog post about this trip on my personal blog here.
