The Local Hyderabadi Guide of Everything.

Hello world

In the age of the Internet, information is the currency. People still buy stuff in the real world still go to fancy restaurants for Dates, and still hang out with friends in cafes. What has changed though, is the way people decide how they’d spend their time or money.

With Android being the most popular OS in the world, most people Default to Google Maps for their decisions.

I have had my fair share of bad experiences from companies and shops in almost all the Cities I have been to. Be it because of the Language barrier or simply because the spoke person wasn’t interested in doing their job properly. As a customer, it doesn’t feel good when you are not treated properly in the market.

No one wants to be overcharged.

My Passion

Started out reviewing on Google Maps a few years ago just to keep a tab on all the places I have been. I easily forget all

the cool things we do after a few months. But when I write about my experience on Google Maps, It’s like I am writing memory to my future self.

Evolving.

Now I write reviews for the places I have been to because I want to help people make informed decisions. However, this is quite dangerous. I Realised that the reviews are up there forever. There needs to be a lot of education that needs to be done to make sure shop/business owners can make changes to their businesses from the reviews.

In the case of some businesses, lower reviews can mean lower foot traffic. Resulting in Low or even No profit. Forcing businesses to close. ouch.

Local Guide

Keeping all the effects in mind, as a local Guide I have to make sure I get the right information to the customer end AND guide the businesses towards better customer service.

About my City

Hyderabad, like many other Indian Cities, has two parts. New City and Old City or as I personally call it “Modern City” and “Original City”. I live in the Old City and travel to New City every day for work using the newly inaugurated Metro. Not many people here are Tech savvy.

Making information available to the general public is crucial to our development. I for one, am a drop in an ocean.
