What The Local Guides program means to me: having friends who have the same mission to help others on Google Maps.
My name is Jean, I am from Bali, Indonesia. I love traveling.
I became a Local Guides since 16 August 2018. And my 1st review was a hotel. I knew about this Local Guides program from @Sandra1961 , when I was attending a workshop she informed me about Local Guides program, and I registered on my mobile phone, then she introduced me to Bali Local Guides community. That’s how it was started. I found the Local Guides programs are very helpful for others and also for me personally.
I gain more knowledge about Google Maps, helped by my friends from other Bali Local Guides @ORREBOSS , @OctavianPutra , @ms_atiek and from other members. We help other people by sharing our reviews and photos about places that we have visited such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, tourism places, etc on Google Maps, also help businesses by editing the point of their location on Google Maps, editing the incorrect information details of their business as their operational hours, etc.
Local Guides programs also impacted my life as I made friends everywhere. When I went to Jakarta in August 2018, I met the members of Jakarta Local Guides @SuhandiWidjaja , @Ain_amush , @Ddimitra , @dian_9395 , and we became friends. I gain more knowledge about Google Maps from them and from other members of Jakarta Local Guides. Glad that I became a part of their community too.
And not only from Bali and Jakarta but also I have Local Guides friends from Surabaya city and from other cities in Indonesia and also from other countries.
It’s so nice to have friends who have the same mission to help others on Google Maps through Local Guides program. T****hank you Google !
