I have been always a Local Guide for my friends and family wherever we wanted to go and my friends keep asking me where to go and how to go the selected destination because nobody comes upfront to guide us to the destination so I have always taken the responsibility to take us safely to the right place by using Google Maps where we wanted to go, whether to roam around the city or to go out of town. The Local Guides program to me is something extraordinary feeling for sharing my experience widely in the world.
The best thing is when I go for the short trip within the city or out town and visit some places like restaurants, malls or parks then Google maps let know me where I have visited and what was my experience by visiting those places after that I do explain my experience on the reviews to help others on Google Maps and that’s what I feel proud of helping others. I feel very happy and it puts a smile on my face when I see the people are noticing my ratings and comments and I’m very much happy to contribute on Google Maps and making the world a better place. Google Maps gave me a platform to share my views and ideas to the world as a Local Guide.
I still remember the days when I was going to the Gangtok and I helped my friends with every itinerary that we wanted for the trip from booking tickets to guiding to the new places in Gangtok checking in the hotels and you know what, it FELT GREAT to me.
My country INDIA has so much to see like heritage, beautiful cities, upgrading streets, and buildings and opening new and different types of cuisine’s restaurant day by day. And as a Local Guide, it gave me a better chance to guide and help more and more people around the world through my contributions.
