The Local Guides program is, to me, synonymous with freedom.
Writing about my experiences has always been one of the best paths to express what I live and what I feel.
Being a Local Guide for this three years has meant to get contact with the skills which I love of me: meticulousness, elegance, curiosity and friendship.
When I began to collaborate by reviews I just wanted to do one’s bit. I just wanted to spend my time. But hey! to be honest, I was having a look to the future and I was usually wondering to me how I could be a great critic or how people have gotten to work on Google.
So bit by bit I was discovering how a simple writing and a simple opinion (like a grain of sand) can help to make the difference in a new businnes or maintain the good face of a company.
For example, I met a new and cosy cookie shop in one of the best streets of Granada, next to the Cathedral. This shop was a lovely discover to me, because during my time in London I had fallen in love with that beautiful fluffy cakes.
Also, I could see how entrepreneur tried to be better to the community and their clients.
They give a lot of importance to Local Guides because they know the value which has the personal experience.
Later, I found out the possibility to upload the photographs which I capture when I take a long walk over the cities. And, surprise! people received this action of good pleasure.
I felt really excited, because I want to be a photographer and people like the photos I take with my phone.
Google was notifying me when people reacted to my contributions and, using its points system, the Program was encouraging me to keep contributing and knowing new places of my city. When I saw that I have got the Level 6, I felt so special. Really!
