The local guide program is well designed and I love it because it enables me to help people in my community from literally anywhere; be it a holiday place, a restaurant, or while commuting on the train/bus and even from my own couch where I can simply answer questions! It’s incredible how effective and convenient it is to help people and in turn receive help when needed by the LG community.
I personally love detailed information about places, restaurants and events while planning my visits to make sure that it has what I’m looking for. Likewise, I love giving details about the same when asked by friends/people as every detail contributes in making better decisions, which is why the LG program is just right for me!
When I discovered the Google Local Guides Program, I was eager to finally be able to share my views, perspective and the tiny little details about my experience of places I visit.
I’m now able to help people in the community by just living my regular life and sharing about it…I mean what could be more fun! 
One of my happy moments as a local guide was when I knew (from the likes) that I helped someone out, with my review on a driving school called ‘Swift Learner’. It inspires me and makes me content when I see likes and replies on my reviews as I know I’ve helped someone with their search.
I also like helping people with detailed information about small businesses. For example, I added a review on ‘Caspian Pizza Coventry’, a small pizza takeaway business, and included pictures of their menu for anyone that would want to know what the place served before getting there.
Also, the points/levels features on this program generates a sense of competition with myself and motivates me to do more each time. I couldn’t help but share this program with my sister and friends so that they don’t miss out on this experience and simultaneously enjoy some friendly competition
What I love most about this program are the variety of ways you can contribute by writing reviews, answering questions, checking facts, adding photos/videos of the places you’ve been, attending/hosting meet ups and more. Small or big, every contribution adds up to make a difference.
In conclusion, the Local Guide Program is a platform that makes life simple for everyone globally in the most effective and convenient way. It’s ultimately helping the community support itself and I can’t be happier to be part of it ! xD
