The local guide program has made a lot of changes in my daily life since the day I got involved.
But to be sincere when I got involved in this program I didn’t realize if it would change a lot of things of my daily life. I discovered this program grace’s to google photos because that’s where I save my favorite photos and one day I am registered in the program without realize,day by day this program becomes my passion because i like the photography, my daily life is going to change thanks local guide just compared to photos, how it was? one day in the company where I work the boss decided to make some rehabilitations in the work and he gave vacations to almost all the employees and me too,it’s was in that period i discovered the local guide community, at the end of the works the same day that they finished I went to take photos of the rehabilitation to publish on Google maps because i was a beginner in the local guide community and all that interested me was taking photos wherever i go just to reach level. before when you looked for the name of the company that im working for on Google maps we didn’t find photo which correspond to the company, after a few months that I took some photos and published them , that’s where everything will change for me and the company,according to the testimony of my boss,one day he looked for the company on Google maps just to show the direction to a friend and he was surprised to see the photos that I published, he was really happy to see the photos,and one day when he got to work he summoned me to his office and I was a little nervous because he is someone really strict, and he asked me : how could you do that? and I asked him what? how could you publish photos of the company on Google Maps, and I answered it is because I am local guide on Google maps and he told me: i was surprised to see that, and I was really surprised too to listen that in his mouth, and after a few months local guide sent me an email announcing how many people I had helped and also told me how many people who saw the photos, I was so happy to see that the photos has more views, I went to show my boss , and he said to me: can I testify to you something? I answer yes, and he told me: it would seem thanks to your photos that you have published on Google maps I see that we have more customers than before, he told me that he really liked it from me, that it was really generous and after he asked me :what would you like me to do for you? without hesitation I told him: I only want you to promote my post at work, after some days,he did it, now I am a group leader in my work, they pay me much than before ,it’s so excited and now me and my boss become two good friends thanks to local guide which allows me to help the others.

My contribution has changed my life and that of the business im working for,and that experience push me to work more
every day by taking photos everywhere i go, i start giving reviews about every place i have visited, i started to feel proud of myself, the email gives exciting information about the number of people I have helped and it becomes more interesting not only to me but also to my brother @Paul after he sees my progress, the quantities of views that I have for the photos that I published on Google local guide and there he got involved too, and then we started a friendly competition between us, and there we started going to visit places that we discovered on google maps just to be able to share photos and opinions and create lists, sometimes me and my brother @Paul compare our photos and views for review places we visited and reviewed together, actually when it comes back I always win.

Adding new places and photos to Google Maps is a dynamic way to make an impact. Through this small action, I’m able to help a customer in need find what they’re looking for; help a small business grow; or make a new friend. I’m grateful for a map that serves people worldwide while also being maintained with constantly updated data by those same people.
