The Local Guide Program Means the World.

Being in customer service and management I know the power of reviews and feedback. I know the feeling of getting a great review and adjusting technique according to negative feedback. This guides program is a platform uncontrolled by each individual establishment, which means greater means of honesty transparent results. I believe that contribution to this application is to “pay it forward” not only to future potential customers, but also for the greater good to the given institution. Data drives decisions, and as I contribute to the local guide program, I contribute data, which helps other users of this community gain a more clear decision. I know that a negative experience at a given destination may not be the truest reflection as whole, so I do use discretion when I provide the most true depiction of my experience for the next guy or gal that might end up in my shoes. As far as I’m concerned, this is a win-win-win for the customers, the businesses, and google. I take Pride in using it, for I do have some means of writing skill, but I have a great skill at evaluation of service and essentials for any given outing. I intentionally leave my GPS on everywhere I go so that local guides will ask me to review. I do take pride in uncontaminated validity, and I do like to spread positivity in any way I can. I used to be a manager, and would spend every night wondering if bad reviews from my employees would get me fired. Now that all that is in the past, I like to help others avoid that “negative review stress” and I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the only way anyone can really hear my voice. but to the same extent, if a business place is shady or unethical, I would be in the right to prevent future negative consumer experience.
