I have an itch for travel and for seeking out new thrills, lovely places and amazing views.
So one bright day in March, I got on the road and headed to Plateau state from Abuja to seek a secret location hidden in plain sight, as the trip progressed, I made sure to stop over at almost every breath taking view I saw and took pictures, however the goal was to find the largest Ten Commandments Slabs I had heard of.
It is without a doubt, the largest within west Africa and I needed to find it.
I left Abuja at six in the morning and arrived at Plateau state before ten, took a detour to visit the Riyom Triplets Rock formations, it’s beauty was divine, standing majestically just before the entrance to Jos town.
After spending time at Riyom, I bade the locals farewell and proceeded to a green lake somewhere in the heart of Jos town, I had been told about it and needed to see it for myself.
Once done from the lake, I worked my contacts and got the directions to the objective of this trip, after driving for a couple of hours, I found the prize I was looking for.
After I had spent many hours just appreciating this lovely structure, I went back into jos town to relax by the popular Lamingo dam and take a canoe ride across the lake.
I shall bring you that story in my next post.
Until then, I am braving the odds and enjoying the thrills of my adventures.
Cheers…
