The Kumbhkaran Thali, Junagadh

I traveled to Somnath with my brothers last weekend. I’d heard about the Kumbhkaran thali prepared at the Patel restaurant in Junagadh for a long time. So we headed there to test this meal.

The Kumbhakarn thali is presented to the taste buds as if a royal feast were served before a Maharaja, which is the specialty of the thali. The way food was served for Kumbhakaran in Ramayana, this thali is served the same way.
Check out the video here.

This Kumbhkaran thali has five varieties of Punjabi vegetables. Including dal tadka, raita, Gulab Jamun, halwa, green salad, Russian salad, a Chinese starter, Harbhara kebab, Delhi chaat, and veg. Biryani, Jeera Rice, Roasted Uddana Papad, Lassi, Rabdi, Bhugda, and five types of Rotis are served.
This thali is priced at INR 1250 and comes with enough food for 4 to 5 people. But the hotel owner has promised a reward of 11,000 to the person who finishes the entire thali.
Check out my review.

Amazing thali…

Kumbhakaran was presented well…

Thali looks really JUMBO…

Kya baat hai…

What to eat, where to start are serious questions.

I have nothing more to mention - this is the first time I’m seeing such a feast…

Congratulations…

Is it items unlimited?

Do they allow 6 people to have the food?

@NareshDarji if you offer me this tempting thaali six years back, I could eat the whole Thaali or maybe 80% alone. But you posted it 6 years late unfortunately, and we missed 11000 Rupees reward

I’m so much fond of desi food , especially Gujrati food, so this post is making me more crave for thaali right now :star_struck:
