The Kenyan Safari - Masai Mara

The Masai Mara is everything you’ve seen in the Lion King without Pride Rock. Starting from the love of the land to the love of the people. Out of the 42 tribes in Kenya, The Masai People speak Masai, English, and Swahili. I was in Kenya for two weeks for a Medical Mission trip in Bondo, Kenya. As soon as I landed, the weather was amazing and the humbleness of the people got to me really quick. They were so welcoming and loving. Whenever we drove around, it was about an 11 trip because the max Speed limit in the country was 49mph/80kmh. The amount of time I was able to spend with the guides, taking pictures of the landscape, and stopping and trying to the food on the side of the road was fantastic. When we arrived at the Masai Mara Forest, We immediately saw Wildabeast, Wort hogs and Wild Giraffe. I love giraffes and elephants personally. It was a two day journey in which at night we would sleep in the lovely tents they had set up for us. The food was great and natural to their land. We ended up seeing almost every animal we set out to see except an Alligator. This place was truly a magnificent feat of God that everyone should go visit. Bring shades, Sunscreen, and Lots of memory cards because you’ll be making ever lasting memories here.
