The Journey to Local Guide Connect That’s Close to My Heart

In this platform My journey began with the unforgettable experience of attending the 200th Bangladesh Local Guides Mega Meetup. It wasn’t my first meetup with local guide community but That event inspired me to write my very first Connect post titled:

“A Bangladeshi Woman’s Experience of Participating in the 200th Meet-up as a Local Guide.”

Since then, many of my posts have been featured even trended, which greatly encouraged me to keep writing and sharing post on local guide connect. So, when I first discovered the Local Guides Connect platform, I naturally started sharing posts about my favorite topics—travel and exploration.

I was introduced to the Local Guides community while living in Dhaka with my husband. Thanks to him, I got involved in this vibrant community, attending meetups in and around the city. That was the beginning of my journey, filled with learning and discovering new things.

Today, after a long break, I felt compelled to share these memories once again—because, despite starting this journey with great enthusiasm, I couldn’t maintain consistency due to overwhelming responsibilities and personal challenges, my activity on Connect slowed down.

However, within a few months, the pressures of married life, studies, skill development, and the urgent need to secure a job—especially as the eldest daughter in my family responsibility naturally fell on my shoulders.

By the grace of Allah, Finally I landed a job as a Graphics Design Trainer in a government project near my village. Then I decided to leave the Dhaka city and move closer to my family, embracing a new chapter of life—one filled with work and family commitments.

It took some time to settle everything. Alhamdulillah, I can now finally make a little time for myself again. And with that, I return to capturing beautiful moments, showcasing the unexplored beauty of Bangladesh through Local Guides Connect, and sharing it with the world.

Perhaps this is also a small part of the untold story of many women like me—standing strong for their families while chasing their own dreams.

Much love and heartfelt thanks to everyone who has always supported me on this journey.

Well done @TajkiyaNijami and thanks for sharing your journey. It’s not uncommon for Local Guides to take a pause or slow down their activities due to commitment elsewhere. But the community certainly is glad to have you back again! Even if you don’t have time to write a post, you can always browse and read posts from others! Keep it up!
