Today is Sunday and I come to pen down again about why Ponds are pondering theme in the Mithila culture.
See ,Mithila’s (a local area of 3 districts , speaking Mathali,a local sweet language) inhabitants fond of chewing Pan ,eating Makhana and Fishes ,that’s why there are plenty number of ponds
can be seen in this area. The core of Mithilanchal are Madhubaini ,Darbhhanga and Saharsa ,all are district towns.
In the last previous post I have shown you the big pond ,today uploading a small beautiful pond . Hoping the great friends of this community will like it .
Dear young sister @MoniDi , I have been there for a piece of work at LN Mithila University, Darbhhanga 2 weeks ago. See ,there are 2 universities coexist side by side ,one Sanskrit University and 2nd is LN Mithila University, at Darbhhanga.
Both are functional in separate palacial buildings . There are other small and beautiful buildings. The Universities have huge campus, comprises of park ,temple, ponds and playground, etc.
As I mentioned, the Mithila people are fond of fishes ,so plenty of ponds are there.
One more interesting part of this region is Mithila Paintings on the fabrics, a picture of it ,showing you right now .
