The Kaaba (Ka’ba) is the most holiest place to all Muslims in the world, considered as a first place of worship in the world. It is situated in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The holy Kaaba was constructed by the prophet Ibrahim (as) (other view’s called Abraham) and his son Ismail (as). The holy Kaaba is surrounded by the Mosque called Masjid Al Haram.
The Kaaba is the Qibla (direction) for Muslims, all Muslims praying facing towards to the Kaaba. Before the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) peoples did praying facing towards to the Masjid Al Aqsa (Jerusalem); even prophet Mohammad (pbuh) used to praying facing towards to the Masjid Al Aqsa for many years. Then Qibla change to Kaaba, since then all Muslims praying facing towards the Kaaba.
I am glad that I have visited the holy Kaaba twice in my life (March 2014 and November 2023). First time I was alone but the second I visited with my mother, my son, daughter and also my wife, it was a great moment in my life as i was visiting with my family members for the first time.
