Hi guiders!
Let me take some minutes of your time, I want to share with you how Google Guides help me achieve, in a virtual world, a dream of mine.
I´d always like to go out, walk around the city, maybe spot a nice hidden coffee shop, or a nice design store, or some other city jewel that you often don’t get to hear about.
Time to time I got lost around and use Maps to find my way back, never misses one. ?
So, one day I saw this prompt on my Maps app, asking me to share my reviews about the places I had been, I could even share pictures!

his open a whole new world for me. I realized that I could share my thoughts about places, give my review and that there was a hole community growing doing the same thing as I did, giving the insights of whatever we thought was wonderful.
When my first pic got to 500 view, I felt this joy inside (imagine the feeling of over 100k!!!), like I was heard by all this people who were looking for an opinion, or a little something to get convinced about a new thing to do.
And little by little, I was started to share more and more.
One of my dreams always wanted to be a tourist guide, I love my city (Mexico City) and I enjoy so much showing it around. A couple yea
rs ago, I met some American girls, who were living in Mexico and I was fascinated by showing them around. I took them everywhere, and that’s when I realized that Google Guides let me do what I’ve always wanted to do, share my favorite places to anyone who were able to get the app.
Not matter if I was shy, or not, I felt like I could tell what was on my mind and that there was this all world out there listening to what I wanted to say, to what I think.
When I move to a different city, I was on the other side, looking for good recommendations, places to eat, to visit and to have fun. I realized that all the little or big facts that the Guiders share are very important to whomever is new or just need to change the routine a little bit.
