We made a stop at the Great White desert, also known as The Rann of kutchh in Gujarat while on our Rajasthan - Gujarat trip earlier this year.
We especially included this place because of the Rann festival which is held once a year. This festival is famous for the camp cities and exclusive cultural programs and animal rides.
Though we didn’t stay in the camps, we did enjoy the festival and the camel rides around the desert. The beauty of this unusual place cannot be described in words. The same is pure white and the salt deposits make this a rare site to see.
It was a really magnificent experience for me as we get to see the sunset as you can see in the picture. We enjoyed the festival very much and would recommend others to once visit kutchh as the saying goes “muskuraiye, aap kutchh me h”.
