The Goose Life

So it was a boring day of course and while staring outside I found this little family of geese walking down the parking lot! Fortunately, it was a boring day, so the lot was empty and quiet. No danger there! I was planning to go on a walk anyways, so I decided to follow them all the way down to the community gym, where they headed off in a random direction before I lost them :weary:

After a week or so, I saw another group of geese taking the sidewalk! I thought to myself, “Is this the same geese family?” After a closer look, I realized that the chicks were not only grown-up, but they were also fewer in number! So unless some of the chicks had run off or something, this must not have been the gaggle I saw last week. They walked down the sidewalk in a quaint and slow waddle, with two seconds between each step. They were in no hurry, and neither was I :joy:

I do envy the geese a bit! To be able to walk so leisurely, without worrying about the time :relieved: During this quarantine we can all learn from the geese, on how to enjoy living in the moment without stress!

Stay safe! :hibiscus:

Certainly interesting @RitwikaB we see a lot of ducks around here living in the local parks because their traditional wet lands have dried up thanks to climate change. Perhaps these geese are in the city for similar reasons. Here the ducklings fall prey to foxes, domestic and feral cats and stray dogs and probably snakes and lizards.

@RitwikaB Nice pictureThere is never an opportunity to witness these brave birds walking with their families in India. These must also be aggressive.and I appreciate the statement that says we can all learn how to enjoy stress-free living in the present moment from the geese !
