When I create a new place an automatic photo from Street View appear.

Is this automatic photo is counting for first photo ?

Indeed, I think my first personal photos are not counting for first photo.

Have you got some explanations ?

Your first photo of a place should be approved to be uploaded.

You can check here the instructions how to add a photo.

Who approve it ? and when ?

In this example, photo with “circle arrow” on the left was an automatic photo from street view ;
On the right, my photo… which wah the first personal photo on this place. But the street view photo was automaticly create.
My photo will be choose for the first photo on this place or not ?

Hi @Benoit_1 ,

Your photo is not the second one. It’s just the design of Google Maps how it composes the photos.

If you have an idea how can it be better, you can feel free to share your idea in the Idea Exchange section. There you can submit your ideas about the Local Guides program, Google Maps, Connect and more. Other Local Guides can then vote on the ideas they like, and the most popular ideas will be reviewed by Googlers.
