The first location adding to the Google Maps

Hello again dear friends
This is a real story about missing place in the Google Maps
and how it may found by you and me or anyone else  :+1:

When I was walking toward Haeundae Beach, Jung-dong, Busan in Republic of Korea (South Korea), in my first and last visit at June-2011, suddenly a sculpture caught my eyes, it was not very colorful or even with special texture, but some how was familiar to me, and I didnt know why.

So I decided to go closer to find what is it? and why it seems familiar to me ?
when I get closer I realized that, it was belong to Asian games, not once but also twice. the 10th Asian games at 1986 and the 24th Asian games 2002.

Yes it was familiar because I remember I watched some games and also relevant logos in TV
To me it was an exciting moment and I asked someone to take a photo of me beside it.

Some years later when I was recall my sweet memories from those days in Busan just by searching the Google Maps and my visited locations in Busan, I decided to find that sculpture too, and I wish I could find the sculpture and some photos of it, but to my surprise I found nothing :astonished:

So immediately I started to add my first location adding to the Google Maps,   it was a great moment and I had a very good feeling, also after a while and after acceptance the location, I could upload my only and only photo of that sculpture too  :+1:

Me beside the 10th Asian games at 1986 and the 24t h Asian games 2002 sculpture  :+1:

Hi @Navid_Ebdaei

Thanks for sharing your story about adding a sculpture.

I have found that many sculptures are also missing around where I live. So I have added quite a few of them, but I also noticed that sculptures are not a very popular category. We seldom get many views on photos of sculptures. I guess that is life!

Cheers

Hi @MortenCopenhagen
Thank you for your reply and I appreciate your spent effort and your interest about sculpture around you . :+1:
Yes you are right , perhaps sculptures are not as interesting as other aspect of people’s daily life. but to me artistic items such as paintings, sculptures, graffiti, hand crafts and etc. are interesting too, and worth enough to take some snapshots of them. :+1:  specially that one because it was connected to Asian games (sometimes they call it Asian Olympic), because to me, Olympic and similar activities that gather wide variety of nations are the best human movements ever, and help to make peace for everyone.
Thank you again and good luck my dear friend  :+1:

Hello @Navid_Ebdaei thanks for posting. I thought place like South Korea would be completely map .Talk less of a monument in city centre.I was definitely wrong in my assumption.

Certainly, you were surprised not to find such a monument on the map. It took your ingenuity to put it on the map. I personally appreciate your effort for doing this …

On those days I didnt use my mobile phone for data and photo shooting because it was too weak for that , on those days photos were taken by a small handy digital cam Sony T20 and after some gap time had been uploaded into the Google Maps  :+1:
