It’s a high tourist spot in Malta and popularly known as ‘LOVE’ sculpture, which sits overlooking the water at Spinola Bay at St Julian’s.
The LOVE statue mostly at first glance is a little confusing as to why the word has been spelled upside-down and back-to-front. The trick with the sign is to read it from its own reflection in the sea-water below.
This only works when the water is calm enough to be a mirror.
The reason is to truly appreciate beauty and love, one must stop and take a moment of calm in today’s hectic pace of life.
Wow! What a set of imagination of artist show here. He wrote the Love in upside down manner so when you see the reflection u can find it right. Good example of imagination.
I’ve seen a few mentions about how it’s the reflection in the water… but I’ve also seen a wonderful photo that shows it in the morning sun casting a shadow that spells out correctly on the ground.
I am writing a story that takes place in Malta, St. Julians. And the LOVE-Monument plays an important part in this story. May I use your photo for the book-cover?
