Hi, @gkont76 great post.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge of town hall.
One thing I have noticed that all the walls of town halls in Germany are designed in a unique way (i.e., the brown cross lines on the wall like seen in the image share by @gkont76 ) so that by looking at them we can notice that this is a town hall of respective locality or neighborhood.
Could you please let me know it’s the rule in germany to design the wall like or anything else.
I work on this country for geographical related thing.
Thanks and regards,
Jafar pasha
Hi Jafarpasha,
The brown lines that you mention are not only found in townhalls only.
In the area of upper Franconia (a Northern Territory in the state of Bavaria) almost all old houses have these brown lines. For example there are villages that the majority of the houses are like that. It is the style of the region.
I hope that this helped you.
Best Regards,
George
Hi @gkont76 ,
Thanks for sharing!
This town hall is beautiful! I like how it’s positioned between two bridges. It almost looks like the building is dividing the town.
Maybe you can add a bit more information to these photos. Posts with more information tend to draw more interaction from others.
Do you know if there’s a story behind this building?
Hi @MortenSI ,
I was in the town of Bamberg just for a few hours for business and had some time to walk around the city.
The townhall is really impressive and it has some coffee shops around it.
I do not know much about the history of the town hall. Only what I can get from book guides or from the official site of the city

It looks like a nice place to grab a coffee and enjoy the scenery @gkont76 .
Did you visit other interesting places in Germany?
Thanks
Certainly, mostly castles - there are so many in Germany
Check my other story.
I have been to more than 60 countries and numerous destinations and certainly this one is in my top 5.
Unfortunately, for women only accessible to men
