Friends ! Would you believe if I tell you that my passion to hunt the degree confluence points is much before the maps were used by many of us ! Yes, call me crazy and there are bunch of us across the the world. But think of how easy and fun it would be now to hunt a degree confluence point with google-maps !

Our goal is to visit each of the latitude and longitude integer degree intersections in the world, and to take pictures at each location. The pictures, and stories about the visits, will then be posted on-line !! I personally did about 13 such confluence points and just cannot stop telling you my experiences.

"Pune-based Praveen Goggi and his friend Chandra Dasaka found the confluence point of 18oN79oE in the middle of a sheep pen, while Bijanki found 11oN77oE inside the bedroom of someone’s house, so he decided to take his GPS recordings outside in the verandah!
“Most often it’s in some out-of-the-way spot where no one ever goes and as you go, people gather and want to know what you’re doing there. Generally, people have been nice, even when they haven’t always understood what we were doing. They’ve invited us to their homes, offered us tea and snacks,” says Goggi."
