Also called the First Beach because there is a second beach and third beach, Spanish banks and the Jericho Beach… The English Bay is the most populated beach in the coast of Vancouver. It is very near the Vancouver Downtown, you can walk or take the bus. The beach is an open public park but there are beach equipment rentals around… There are so many cafes,creamery and restaurants around the beach area as well as convenience stores. The English Bay is the nearest sand beach in Downtown Vancouver and is beautiful any season.It is a must-visit place if you happen to be in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The A-maze-ing Laughter 14 pieces bronze statues along the English Bay each weighing 250 kilograms.
“May this sculpture inspire laughter playfulness and joy in all who experience it.”
Designed by Yue Minjun. It was supposedly a temporary art exhibit in Vancouver,the people liked them, the artists asking price for the statues to stay was $5M dollars thanks to the generous donation of $1.5M of Vancouver Billionaire Chip Wilson and his wife that the statues remain with the City of Vancouver.
