Start of the Northern Way to Santiago de Compostela.

I am writing to inform you that I would like to participate in Conect
Live 2020. I write you from confinement at home due to the pandemic by
Covid-19. I am confined, but I have achieved my goal as a Local Guide with
the rating of 10! This situation has been good for me to finalize some
contributions. I´m very satisfied. Besides, visits to my photos are around
10.000.000.
I love photography (especially nature), enjoy with family and friends
and help others.
I started my activity by the insistence of Google Maps. The constant
motivation you receive after receiving achievements invites you to overcome
new goals. I like challenges.
After leaving my stressful job that I was in for more than 35 years, I
found the activity that motivated me not to fall into discouragement. It was
therefore an appearance at the right time and has proved therapeutic. At first
I was not involved if I was not asked for the valuation. Then I made reviews
and also added 61 new locations, locations that were not in the system.
I have participated intensely over the last 2 years touring places in
Spain, France, Portugal, Morocco and Mauritania. I have made several Ways of
Santiago and have met wonderful people from all countries.
One of my favorite places to visit are the mountains and villages of
Cantabria. I also love the Cabo Gata Natural Park (Almería, Spain) with its
infinity of mountains and beaches as it represents a contrast. My third favorite
place is the natural paradise of El Bierzo (and its wonders people). This last
place is where I was born.
Now I know that with my contributions I help a lot of people. I used the
information to make decisions and now I’m the one who helps others too.
There is a lot of work to be done and I am willing to work a lot on this
mission. Count me. I have spent a lot of time on this activity, putting all my
passion into it. People around me have not understood this activity because it
is altruistic and without immediate benefits.I dont’n know Local Guide colleagues and the truth is that I would love to
share experiences. It would be to be able to fulfill a dream by participating in
Connect Live 2020.
