As a street view photographer, I really discovered the local guides program in 2016 when the business view forum has been merged with Connect.
I immediately liked how fast and easy it was to share advices about best places all around the world !
I really like to travel, discover new destinations. Each time I plan to go somewhere, for holidays for exemple, I like to see what to expect on Google maps. I think that there are no better recommendations that the ones given by people who have already visited a place. So, ratings and advices are extremely valuable to me.
On the other side, I like to share my experiences with others. Hotels, restaurants, museums, shops… It started like a game to upload pictures and writing advices. I like to share pictures of my plates when I’m in a good restaurant. 
Knowing how many people it has helped by receiving an email digest from Google is always a good time.
Local Guides Connect is also a very cool place where I can find help and discuss on new technologies with other passionated people. 
This is exactly what the local guides program means for me : A fantastic place to exchange. Since the beginning, I’m delighted by this worldwide collaboration between all of us, the local guides.
And if one day, you come to Nantes, France, don’t forget to take a walk along the river “l’Erdre” , the most beautiful french river as said by one of our old kings “François 1er” hundred years ago. But, waiting for it, you cantake a look on the street view panoramas I made.
