I’ve been living in Doha (because of work) for 3 months now. I’m lucky enough to be able to enjoy the convenience of the Doha Metro. I got so used to the metro and public transport when living in Prague, so I’m enjoying not owning or having to use a private car.
The Doha Metro opened the first line (Red) in May 2019. In December 2019 it opened the other two lines (Gold & Green), and also opened up four further stations on the red line, which includes the Hamad International Airport station. It is very convenient to get to and from the airport from anywhere in Doha. There is one more station (Legtatfiya) on the red line to open, which will be opened in 2020.
I’ve travelled on all three lines and have visited all open stations, and photographed inside and outside. You can view my photos here.
All but a couple are very much the same with interior design and external buildings. The only exception to this is the National Museum and the Souq Waqif. My favourite is the Souq Waqif station because the design is different and also fits in well with the surrounding Souq (Market).
I’ve written reviews for all the stations and added photos.
