The delicious red Jamrul of Chapainawabganj

The “Red Jamrul of Chapainawabganj” refers to the red variety of the Jamrul fruit (Syzygium samarangense), specifically grown in the Chapainawabganj district of Bangladesh. Chapainawabganj is known as the “mango capital” of Bangladesh, but it also cultivates other fruits, including Jamrul.
Here’s what makes Red Jamrul notable:

Appearance: As the name suggests, this variety of Jamrul has a vibrant red color when ripe. The fruit is typically bell-shaped.

Taste and Texture: Jamrul, in general, has a mildly sweet taste and a crisp, watery texture, similar to a snow pear. The red variety likely shares these characteristics.

Cultivation in Chapainawabganj: Chapainawabganj’s climate and soil conditions are favorable for growing various fruits, and Red Jamrul thrives in this region.

Availability: While Chapainawabganj is a significant producer of mangoes, Jamrul, including the red variety, is also found in the local markets during its season (typically summer months).

This fruit is as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to eat.
Nutritional Value: Jamrul is known to have a high water content and contains some vitamins and minerals.
If you’re in Bangladesh, particularly in or around Chapainawabganj during the Jamrul season, you’ll likely find this refreshing red fruit available.

wow amazing @Aslam_hossain it seems that the fruit comes from Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. in my city Surabaya (East Java) it is usually called “Jambu Air”. “Air” is water, since the fruit contains a lot of water.

but my friend, because you posted in the “Google Maps Contribution Stories” category, this requires a Google Maps location link, where you tell about it. Please add it to complete your story.
