It was created by the French Baker Chef Dominique Ansel in May 10th, 2013 in his bakery in Soho neighborhood downtown Manhattan. It’s a Croissant-Doughnut pastry very fluffy inside and crunchy outside filled with flavored cream.
Chef Dominique Ansel’s rule is to get only 2 Cronuts per day and a maximum of 12 Cronuts pastries per person per week.
This is my Cronut which I purchased @ParisBaguette Bakery because it’s hard for me to go to Chef Dominique Ansel’s Bakery too early like 3:00am and wait there until 7:00 am the time he opens his bakery. For sure one day, I will do it LG friends. I will take my blanket with me and wait like other people just to try his "Cronut"

.
I recommend you to watch on YouTube the video “cronut creature reveals how to make secret recipe at home” by ABC News.

@SunshineNY It looks yummy. Can’t believe people go there at 3AM and wait until 7AM. If you go there, don’t forget to bring a pillow as well. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

@Ant_Bad_Yogi Hi!
Here in my city we have bakerys open 24 hour, they don’t sell Cronuts but they sell other pastry.
Bye bye!

@SebaasC That is cool. You live in Argentina, right? In my area, only 7-11 opens 24 hours.
@SunshineNY Or you may wait for 1 or 2 years. People will get bored of it. Then the line would be shorter. This also occurs in my area too.

@Ant_Bad_Yogi ok, you’re right! This is why I bought it similar to it. To enjoy the imitation one until I will get the Real one lol.

@SebaasC , It’s new in US too. It’s a creativity of a French Baker who introduced 2 different countries: France; Croissant and Donuts; American. It gives CroNut. His business is in NYC.
I am curious to try his Cronut.

@PaulPavlinovich , welcome to NYC!
I would love to meet you and I am going to put it in my calendar.
You may try Cronut before me. Just bring a blanket and a pillow to wait for your Cronut and be the first in the line because even you’re waiting and in the last ones you may hear “Sorry, see you tomorrow or another day” check his videos. Some customers got upsets.
