The Connect editor is making changes on its own!

I have previously thought some strange edits were happening, and now I have proof!

In this reply I noticed two alien edits taking place without my convent!

On the left is the published text and to the right the sane text in the editor.

Notice the double space and the word “by” inserted against my will.

Later when I returned to the reply the artifacts were gone.

Am I the only one experiencing this? I’m on an Android phone with the latest chrome browser (97.0. 4692.87). And I’m using the swift keyboard from Microsoft. Also, the Gramnerly plug-in is active.

Was the translator of your browser active?

If so, this may happen, and similar issues were reported already in the past, all related to the translator.

Hi @ErmesT

The translator from Connect (top right corner) was not activated. Sometimes I see a browser translation menu at the bottom of the screen, but that one was also not active.

In the past I have had problems posting when the translator changed elements. But this was not the case here.
