The confluence of rivers Zanskar and Indus near Leh in Ladakh.

The river Zanskar forms a confluence with the River Sindhu (Indus) near Leh in Ladakh. The beauty of the spot is mesmerizing. The river Zanskar is famous for white water rafting in summer and a “chaddar trek” in winter. That’s another thrilling adventure of walking on a thin layer of ice formed on the top of the river.

Both the rivers have sculpted their way through the tall snow-clad mountains.

The grand view of the valley created thus is breathtaking.

And now, BRO has made the entire stretch motor-able and the travel very comfortable.

That’s a panoramic view of the spot from the ground level.

Hello @C_T ,

Thank you for sharing these incredible photos with us, the lanscape is simply breathtaking!

It seems that the area is a bit a remote one, do you know how far is the closest vity or village?

Were you there on a tour? Are there any activities that could be done in this area?

Hi @BorrisS

Thanks for the compliments.

Yes, the place is at a remote location.
Still, it is not far off from the capital city of the region, Leh.
Leh is now a well-developed tourist spot with air connectivity.
From there, by road, it takes 45 minutes to reach the confluence.

I was indeed on a trip. Leh has many tourists attractions.
Further, that becomes an ideal place to start a day’s trip to the Nubra valley & Pangong lake.
