Bangladesh Local Guides (#BDLG) arranged a mega meet-up on 18th and 19th December 2020. The main venue was Jaflong, a tourist spot on the Bangladesh-India border. It is a beautiful place to visit. Jaflong as it has many natural attractions to see out of which waterfalls, river, hills, tea gardens are prominent. On our first day of the meet-up, we visited the zero-point of Jaflong where we spent very enjoyable moments sightseeing. During that time, I took several photos of stones that seemed to be interesting to me and I decided to share them here. I am sharing some photos of stones here that you may like. You can see some other photos of stones in this album. I have given names to stones as per their color and shapes that will make your reading this post easy and interesting.

When I saw this photo first I thought it a human skull

I called it 2 in 1 as it has two colors in it

I told this rotten because this photo seems to me as out of focus, moreover, it really looks like a rotten fruit also.

The ugly and cursed stone:

This stone looks very ugly to me though it has a nice combination of colors in it. What do you think about the name of it? This stone is called “Heart Stone” by @renata1

I have used my Nikon D5600 Camera with 18-140mm lens to take photos of all these stones.

ওখানে গেলে পাথরগুলোর প্রেমে পরে যাই আমি। সব নিয়ে আসতে ইচ্ছে করে। অনেক ধরনের পাথর সংগ্রহও করেছিলাম, কিন্তু আমার মত বাকিরা পাথর পছন্দ করে না বলে রাখতে পারি নি। যাই হোক, বন্যেরা বনে সুন্দরের মত পাথরেরা ওখানেই সুন্দর। মাঝে মাঝে গিয়ে না হয় দেখে আসবো। পুরনো স্মৃতি মনে করিয়ে দিলেন @MukulR ভাই।

পাথরগুলো দেখে আমিও পাথরের প্রেমে পড়ে গিয়েছিলাম @LyricMitra তাই অন্য কিছু বাদ দিয়ে আমি অনেকটা সময় শুধু পাথর নিয়েই পড়েছিলাম। এত ধরনের, এত রঙের পাথর হতে পারে জাফলং না গেলে কখনোই জানতাম না। ইচ্ছে ছিল অনেকগুলো পাথর নিয়ে আসব কিন্ত ওজন বেশি হওয়ায় তেমন একটা আনতে পারি নাই। তারপরেও স্মৃতি হিসেবে বেশ কয়েকটা এনেছি। আপনার সুন্দর মন্তব্যের জন্য অনেক ধন্যবাদ।

@MukulR Beautiful stones. It’s a pleasure to investigate them on a beach.

I want to ask if you find some stones with natural holes? We call them “куриный божок”, which means “small god of the hens”. If you look through the hole at the sun you can make a wish.

I haven’t found such yet, but my sister finds them often.
