The Chariot of Bunga Dya

Bunga Dya is also known as Karunamaya, Rato Machhindranath and Avalokitesvara is considered as Good of Rain.

The Chariot festival is the longest among all Chariot festival celebrated by Newa Community in Nepal or India.

The festival is held with accordance with lunar calendar. Begins generally from May and might lasts to October.

The festival was stared around 640AD and the Chariot is pulled through Yala city. Once every 12 years the Chariot is pulled to Bungamati.

The Chariot festival ends with a Bhoto Jatra which has a different story.
