The changing face of Toronto

  1. Toronto is a big city, in fact its the biggest in Canada and 5th largest in North America. I was born and raised here and over the course of my life I have seen this city transform. It changes so quickly that Google street view images become obsolete in less then a year. Or what was an empty plot of land has transformed into a massive new community. I intend to highlight these changes and the discrepancy which happens form time to time in Google maps.

Thanks for highlighting the rapid developments in Toronto! I was just there a month ago, I loved the urban architecture!

Yeah it’s really quite astounding the amount of development the city has seen in the last 20 years. It’s really transformed the identity of the city. This can be seen as a good thing but it also has some drawbacks. It has lead to runaway rental and home home prices and loss of many of the small independent shops and businesses which made the city unique. It’s increased our homeless too.
