The breath of the sea : El Bufadero

Photo 1: El Bufadero

Really cool place in Gran Canaria: El Bufadero. I had already heard about this natural phenomenon from my son, who having been bassist of Hevia for 5 years, a great Spanish international artist, was invited during a tour to see the place where the video of Hevia’s most famous song, Busindre, was recorded. reel at the Bufones de prias by the ocean, in Asturias in Spain. Also during my and Cristina’s bike trip we met some little “bufones” on the Apulian coast and I also had a good salt water wash.

Photo 2: El Bufadero. With the small travel camera, it is not easy to get the silky water effect

But what we saw in Gran Canaria went far beyond the breath of salt water. We park in a large square in a district of Telde.

We park in a large square in a district of Telde. In the cliff, populated by huge crabs, a large almost circular chasm opens up, into which the sea enters and exits through an opening that is almost always submerged and perceptible only when the wave motion of the sea reaches its minimum level. The sea is rough, but not so much that the waves can climb over the stone arch every time. The advantage is the color of the water which, if it were in a storm, wouldn’t be so blue and probably you couldn’t get as close as today as it is extremely dangerous. The sensation is that of an enormous bellows pushed by the sea, a giant that fills and deflates its lungs in a breath that becomes deeper every time, one realizes that this is the breath of the sea!

Photo 5: El bufadero, the two photographed are not the crabs I told you about :slightly_smiling_face:

A few bursts of photos, but more than the photos, the beauty of the place is testified by the video I made and from which you can better understand the force of nature.

I hope you enjoy!

@plavarda magisch und atemberaubend!!!
