The blue line created from the duplicated thumbnails is slightly off.

As mentioned above, the URL of the first photo of each thumbnail content is all different.
Also, looking at the drawing of the blue line, it seems that five different lines are drawn.

To my eyes, I can’t tell the difference between thumbnail images and time stamps.
However, since the number of views of the content is different, we can imagine that they are managed separately inside.

I am aware that the SV Trusted Help response policy is dangerous.

Is the order in which these thumbnails are displayed in the SV App always constant?

When the thumbnails were duplicated, SV Trusted Help replied to me, “Delete unnecessary thumbnails.”

After I reported that the deletion would have failed, they replied to me, “Please do the delete operation as many times as you like until the deletion is complete.”

But I didn’t do multiple delete operations. I just waited for a week.

Then, after a week, the deletion was completed.

If I delete a thumbnail that is different from the one I deleted the day before, both should have been deleted a week later.
If SV App can’t guarantee that the thumbnails will be displayed in the same order, it’s possible that both will be deleted in this way, even if it’s not a user error.
Even if it is guaranteed that the thumbnails are displayed in the same order, the time stamp and the image are deleted by instructing the operation to delete one of the same thumbnails or all but one thumbnail. I think the instruction to repeat the delete operation as many times until I can confirm it, is rough.

In this regard, I request a rewrite of the SV Trusted Help counselor’s manual.

「This might have been caused by the issue you described in your previous email. Our engineers will take a closer look once you submit the feedback through the Street View application as they advised.
If clearing the Street View application’s cache doesn’t resolve the issue, what you can try is to delete all videos and leave only one.
Our engineers will be expecting your feedback.」

I admit that they did the job of proposing to me “clearing the cache” and “you can try is to delete all videos and leave only one.” But they don’t seem to be able to learn from past cases.

「Regarding the display order of the thumbnails in the SV app - we don’t know the order, because these are duplicates. You can try to remove the duplicated videos.」

「In regards to the duplicated thumbnails issue, I contacted our technical support and their suggestion is that you delete the duplicate ones.」

However, the thumbnails that I deleted reappeared immediately. Therefore, I reported as follows.
「I did what you suggested. However, I report that the expected result is not obtained.」

Here’s your next piece of advice:
「As for the duplicated thumbnails that you tried to delete and the operation failed, try to delete them again until they disappear.」

However, contrary to your advice, I did not perform the next removal operation.
Because I was aware of my concerns.

Now I can see on both the web and the SV App that the initial removal process has been completed.
In other words, it seems that it took more than a week from the deletion work until the deletion was reflected on the Web and SV App.

However, you answered this time that you cannot guarantee the order of duplicate thumbnails in the SV App.
If I did additional deletions during the above week, there was no way to distinguish between the thumbnails I wanted to keep and the thumbnails I wanted to delete.
If I was doing a second delete on a different thumbnail than the first one, not only the duplicates but all the original Street View to keep, after a week It should have been deleted.

As you can see from these, the following advice is dangerous advice that will make the user delete even not only duplicated SV but the original SV.

Please correct the corresponding manual by all means.

I hope that they will take this into consideration when doing support work in the future.

However, this answer only confirmed that the user cannot resolve the duplication of the blue line.
They just answered Yes to my opinion of “Fix your user manual.”

They have no idea no consider how to solve those problems.
They now and will never understand the essence of the trouble.
